Baked Salsa Chicken with Broiled Asparagus

Baked Salsa ChickenA great dinner for two

2 boneless chicken breasts
10 to 12 crumbled Club crackers
Approximately 2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup Sisters Salsa, juice drained and set aside
1 average bunch of fresh asparagus spears

Crush the crackers into a bowl. Add olive oil and mix until all the crackers are uniformly saturated with oil. Add salsa (juice drained and set aside) and lightly mix. Coat a baking dish with olive oil and place the chicken breasts in the dish. Completely cover the breasts with the cracker and salsa mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 40 minutes.

About 10 minutes before the breasts are done remove from the oven and gently poor the salsa juice (set aside earlier) evenly over the all the chicken and continue cooking until cracker mixture begins to get dark and crisp on top.

While chicken is cooking, wash the asparagus and cut off the hard portion of the stems. Put approximately 2 or 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a large bowl with salt and pepper and a touch of garlic powder. Toss asparagus until lightly coated with oil. Evenly spread the asparagus on a cookie sheet covered with aluminum foil. Broil for about 4 to 6 minutes then turn over and broil until they just begin to blacken. Absolutely delicious dinner!

Salsa Nachos

Salsa NachosOne of the favorites at a party or game time. Brown some ground beef or diced chicken. Spread your favorite nacho chips on a plate and cover with ground beef or chicken then cover with your favorite cheese then top it off with Sisters Fresh Salsa. Place in the microwave for about 30 to 45 seconds (depending on the power settings) or in a broiler just until the cheese melts. Be sure your cooking surface is safe for the microwave oven or broiler. It's great!

The Great Salsa Hot Dog

Salsa Hot DogHere is a great way to dress up that old tired and boring mustard and relish hot dog. Toss your favorite hot dogs on the grill. When it's almost done butter the sides of the buns and toss them on the grill too. When done snuggle the hot dog into the bun top with your favorite cheese, microwave or broil it just long enough to melt the cheese then top with Sisters Salsa. Mmm good!

Quesadillas

QuesadillasThis is one you'll want to put in a safety deposit box. Grill some Tenderloin steak to about medium-rare. Along with it grill large chunks of red peppers, onions and mushrooms coated with olive oil and salt & pepper to taste until the edges are crispy black. After cooking cut everything into small pieces. Combine the meat with the vegetables and quickly stir fry for two or 3 minutes with a little butter or olive oil. The meat will finish cooking and still be moist. Prepare the tortillas then fill them with the meat, peppers, onions, mushrooms and a generous amount of Sisters Salsa add cheese, lettuce and sour cream to taste and they are ready to serve. Enjoy . . . WOW!

Peanut Butter and Salsa Sandwich - What?

Peanut Butter and SalsaYes, believe it or not there are those aficionados of the oddities of taste that really like this combination. This may seem to be an extreme departure from "normal," however many of those who try this have said, "who'd thought...this is good." So before you go, "YUK!" taste it for yourself, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Oh so many ways to love Sisters Salsa

Add it to spaghetti sauce, omeletes, salads, Mexican dishes, meat marinades, seafood, veggie lasagne, salsa dips, taco dips and more ... top your baked potato, too!

Many uses for salsa juices:
• Mix it with oil for a zesty salad dressing...
• Mix with other salad dressings you may have on hand, to get that last bit out of the bottle...
• Add it to your Bloody Mary (or Virgin Mary) for extra zing!!!
• Drink it! Some folks love it that way!
